5 Moments When K-Pop Idols Proved That Fanwars Are Pointless
One of the worst things seen in K-Pop is fanwars. While “fans” sometimes engage in fanwars, K-Pop artists themselves are friendly towards each other. Here are 5 moments when K-Pop idols proved that fanwars are pointless.
1. GOT7’s BamBam saying that K-Pop is “one big family“
During an interview with Billboard, GOT7 were asked about their opinions on the K-Pop industry taking over the world, and BamBam gave the most touching answer. BamBam talked about how K-Pop is “one big family” and that all groups work together to promote K-Pop as a whole.
You know we do a lot of arenas, right? Some places we’re the first K-Pop group that can perform there and they get sold out, and it’s an honor.
As a K-Pop artist, I feel like another group can get some energy from us too.
K-pop is not just gossip – we’re all family. Like, other groups, even if we’re from different companies. So we can all make K-Pop bigger so another group can come and perform here too.

2. BLACKPINK dancing to MAMAMOO and TWICE’s music
BLACKPINK was quite nervous at the 2016 Melon Music Awards (MMA), as they were rookies at the time. While the members were nervous, they couldn’t help but dance when listening to various artists’ songs. When MAMAMOO’s “Décalcomanie” was playing, the BLACKPINK members cutely danced along.
When the song changed to TWICE’s “Cheer Up,” BLACKPINK continued dancing!
3. EXO’s Chen saying that “there is no competition in music“
At the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), Chen gave a touching speech when EXO won “Album of the Year.” After thanking EXO-Ls (EXO’s fandom), Chen said that “there is no competition in music” and asked people to continue to love K-Pop!

5. GOT7’s answer when getting “pit” against BTS
During an interview, the GOT7 members shared that their goal is to become the biggest group in the universe. The members were then asked if they wanted “to beat BTS,” and BamBam shut down the comparisons when he said, “No, no, no, no. We’re friends.”
Jackson also joined in and said, “There’s no competition. It’s all love and support in K-Pop.”
