THE BOYZ’s Juyeon And iKON’s Donghyuk In Self-Quarantine, Agencies Release Official Statements On Their Activities
Previously, it was reported that a backup dancer for THE BOYZ had tested positive for coronavirus, leading to groups on Kingdom having to undergo tests for the virus. When results returned, thankfully all participants including THE BOYZ, iKON, SF9 and Stray Kids tested negative initially. However, a few members including Juyeon from THE BOYZ, Donghyuk from iKON and Yoo Hweseung from SF9 further isolated themselves due to being close contacts of the confirmed case.
On May 8, 2021, further updates were given by the agencies of Donghyuk and Juyeon. YG Entertainment, which houses iKON, gave an official statement that Donghyuk had taken a swab test on May 6, and received a negative result. He will be continuing to self-isolate until May 18, 2021, 12 pm KST.
On the other hand, Cre.Ker Entertainment (THE BOYZ) stated that he would also be under self-isolation until May 18, following his negative test result. They further explained that all of the staff and members tested negative on May 6, 2021, when they had heard the news of the confirmed case. Juyeon will not be participating in THE BOYZ’s official schedules until then.
