BTS’s Jin Is The Most Successful Fan Ever As His Idol Coldplay’s Chris Martin Gives Him The Most Heartfelt Gift
BTS‘s Jin has been a fan of British rock band Coldplay for years. He even frequently includes their songs in his playlist on Spotify.
So it was a dream come true when the two music acts came together for the single “My Universe,” which was recently released. Better yet, lead singer Chris Martin even visited the group in South Korea and gifted them custom and signed merchandise and buttons from the nonprofit organization Love Button Global Movement.
Jin must have been so excited about meeting his idol that he not only wore all of the gifts immediately… He also wore several buttons on his Coldplay hoodie!
Jin also keeps a polaroid photo of himself and Chris Martin in his phone case. Yes, just like we do our idols’ photocards!
Now, if Jin couldn’t be even more of a successful fan, Chris Martin recently gave him yet another gift during BTS’s New York City trip, and it’s so sweet.
On BTS’s Twitter account, Jin shared photos that he took with Chris Martin, who was wearing his modernized hanbok that BTS gifted his band. Meanwhile, Jin was holding a colorful guitar.
In the post’s caption, Jin wrote that Chris had given him this guitar after he complimented it. They both were so happy, and it’ll be a cherished memory for both of them, especially for Jin as he already plans to keep it forever as a family heirloom.
This guitar is a gift from Chris Martin after the performance. I told him that his guitar looked cool and he gladly gave it to me. What an awesome friend! I’ll have to display it nicely at home, it’s going to be a family heirloom now. Thank you, Martin!

Chris Martin’s generous gift was already incredibly kind, but when you look closer, you can see that he even autographed it, addressing it to Jin “Worldwide Handsome.” How sweet is that?
Not only did we get an amazing song from Coldplay and BTS’s meeting, but also a lifelong friendship!
