BTS And Megan Thee Stallion Surprise Fans With The First Ever Performance Of “Butter” Remix
The wait is finally over: BTS and Megan Thee Stallion have performed their collaboration remix of “Butter” live on stage together!
BTS released “Butter” on May 21, 2021, and the remix on August 27, following a legal dispute between Megan Thee Stallion and her label. Both releases saw massive international success and had fans waiting eagerly for a live performance.
Though they were scheduled to perform together at this year’s American Music Awards, Megan Thee Stallion was unable to attend due to a personal matter. Though BTS undeniably pulled off an amazing performance, fans were still hoping for the chance for them to perform the remix on stage.
Luckily, that opportunity presented itself just days after the awards show! On November 28, 2021, BTS performed the second show for their Permission to Dance On Stage LA tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The energy was already sky-high, with this tour being BTS’s first in two years.
About halfway through their massive 20+ song setlist, BTS performed “Butter” — and surprised fans by suddenly showing Megan Thee Stallion on stage with them! The already thunderous cheering got even louder with her appearance, and many fans took to Twitter to share clips.

While some fans had a feeling she would be making an appearance after a photo from inside the venue earlier that day was shared, it was still a complete surprise to many and definitely one of many highlights of the night.
