Mnet Confirms BTS Will Not Attend 2021 MAMA

Previously, media outlets revealed that BTS would not be able to attend the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards due to South Korea’s new mandatory quarantine rules. South Korea has mandated that all overseas arrivals, regardless of residential status, must go through a mandatory 10 day quarantine.
Because BTS will performing at the Jingle Ball Tour on December 3, they will have to start quarantine on December 4. In regards to this, Mnet stated, “It has been decided that BTS will not appear at this year’s MAMA. It is difficult to produce a performance (stage) video due to the schedule, but we are preparing a short video for the fans.”
