BTS’s Jimin Updates ARMY On His Recovery
Jimin posted a second update. It has now been added.
Ever since BIGHIT MUSIC announced that BTS‘s Jimin had not only tested positive for COVID-19 but had also undergone surgery for acute appendicitis, we couldn’t help but be concerned for his condition.
On January 31 KST, BIGHIT MUSIC made the announcement on Weverse. They assured ARMY that so far, the COVID-19 symptoms have not been too harsh as Jimin is vaccinated. Likewise, the surgery was successful.

This is BIGHIT MUSIC.
We would like to provide you with the following information regarding the current health status of BTS member Jimin.
Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, and was tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31.
According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. He will be receiving a few days of in-patient treatment for COVID-19 in conjunction with postoperative care. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat but is making a speedy recovery, and had no contact with the other members during the infectious stage.
The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid Jimin in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities.

Upon hearing the news about Jimin’s condition, ARMYs took to multiple social media platforms, such as Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, to share a tremendous amount of love and support for him, wishing him a speedy recovery. On Twitter alone, “JIMIN JIMIN” and “#GetWellSoonJimin” surpassed a million tweets each that day.
#GetWellSoonJimin and “JIMIN JIMIN” are still trending on Twitter and have amassed over 1M tweets, as fans continue to shower Jimin with love and send their best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Now, we’ve heard from Jimin in a new Weverse update. He comforted ARMYs and reassured them of his condition.

Shortly after that update, he shared another one. He said that he will soon be able to leave the hospital and that he’s been eating well.
While it’s been only a couple of days since BIGHIT MUSIC’s announcement, we’re relieved to hear from Jimin.
