Blockberry Creative Under Fire For Photoshopping LOONA’s Olivia Hye Skinnier And Whitewashed
Label Blockberry Creative is under fire for their unnecessary photoshopping of LOONA member Olive Hye in her most recent selfies.
Soon after uploading the edited photos, they were soon deleted and replaced with the originals. Upon first glance, the differences are not obvious, but after a side by side comparison, clear differences can be seen.
When comparing the two photos, fans noticed her body and arm was taken in to appear smaller. Similarly, the skin near her armpit was smoothed to hide any skin wrinkling. Additionally, the entire photo was lightened beyond just removing shadows, giving her a lighter skin tone.
Fans noticed the same patterns with the other photos as well, and even her hair was “fixed” in the next one.
The stark differences are noticeable when comparing the two side by side.
Lastly, her photo on the staircase underwent a dramatic transformation.
Her hips and arm were shrunk considerably and the overall photo was lightened as well.
Netizens are upset with these choices that promote an unrealistic standard of beauty that can be damaging to both Olivia and K-Pop fans. However, with the original photos in place, fans hope to see more authentic photos posted in the future.
