BTS Jungkook Past Thoughts On Smoking Resurfaces
An old video of BTS‘s Jungkook talking about smoking has resurfaced.
On September 7, American celebrity gossip website Lainey Gossip released photos of BTS’s Jungkook smoking outside Matsuhisa, a well-known Los Angeles dining spot that’s popular among celebrities. Naturally, this sparked mixed reactions among ARMYs.
Some ARMYs were unphased as lots of people smoke, and many defended him. Others confessed that they actually thought it made him even “hotter.”

Yet, some were also concerned for Jungkook’s health. Smoking is known to cause many health problems, especially for the lungs, which would be detrimental to a singer.
Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis.

If jk wants to smoke it's his decision but to praise him for that doesn't make any sense. Smoking is bad for your health and everyone who does it will face the consequences one day. But jungkook is f*ckin 26 years old and old enough to decide if he wants to take the the risk

jungkook smoking is surprising considering he doesn't like strong scents and cigarettes smell awful but he's an adult and responsible for ruining his own health so he can do what he wants

Not only that but a video resurfaced of Jungkook talking about smoking nine years ago. While filming Mnet‘s L.A.-based reality show American Hustle Life, Jungkook recorded a video talking about how eager he was to become an adult.
Jungkook looked forward to drinking with his hyungs as well as driving and getting tattoos. These are all things that he has now accomplished.
But Jungkook also mentioned that smoking is something that can come with becoming an adult. He spoke about his dad’s habit of smoking, which he confessed he “hated.”
I want to hurry up and become an adult. You can smoke when you’re an adult. My dad smokes, too, but I really hate it.
— Jungkook
Jungkook even recorded a video message for his dad at the time, begging him to quit smoking. He raised concerns about his father’s health.
Can I make a video letter for my dad? Dad! Please stop smoking. It’s not good for your lungs. Either buy an electronic cigarette or quit smoking. Later, it’ll be like poison, and it’ll build up in your body. I hope you watch this episode and quit smoking.
— Jungkook
Later, during reality show Let’s Eat Dinner Together, Jungkook spoke about his parents’ love story. He revealed then that his dad had given up smoking.
@purplebts77 fact: jungkook’s dad had Jungkook the same age Jungkook is now #edit #btsedit #kpop #kpopfyp #trend #viral #foryoupage #fyp #xyzbca #blowthisup #makemefamous #bias #bts #btsarmy #jungkook #jeonjungkook #jk #jkedit #jungkookedit #maknae #bangtan
Despite all this, it appears that the dad’s old habit was picked up by Jungkook nearly a decade later. Yet, rewatching the old video from American Hustle Life filled ARMYs with mixed emotions.
