Netizens React To The Completely Different Nature Of BABYMONSTER’s New Song “Stuck In The Middle”
Netizens have reacted to BABYMONSTER‘s new song “Stuck in the Middle,” shocked with the difference from their debut song.
In 2023, BABYMONSTER was the big topic as YG Entertainment were finally set to debut the first girl group since BLACKPINK.
After so much anticipation but also setbacks, BABYMONSTER finally debuted with “Batter Up.” Yet, for many, it wasn’t what they had wanted or expected from the group after so long.

While it was met with mixed reactions, with some finding it overwhelming, the group hoped to make an impact with their new release.
After a long wait, BABYMONSTER finally returned with their new pre-release song, “Stuck in the Middle.” From the moment the teasers were released, it signaled a very different vibe from “Batter Up,” giving netizens a more magical and whimsical theme compared to the previous song, which seemingly fit the “YG Image.”
On February 1 (KST), the music video was finally released and marked the road to the group’s first album, which will feature Ahyeon.
From the very beginning of the song, it was clear that this was very different from “Batter Up.” Maknae Chiquita started off the song, and showcased doll-like visuals and vocals to create a fairytale vibe for the song.
Pharita and Rora were the next members to shine and it was definitely a huge change from their first song. The two members continued a beautiful story, emphasized by their vocals and elegant visuals.
Throughout the video, Rami showcased why she was the only person to get a scholarship on her applied music course at Hanlim Arts High School. She exuded beauty and elegance, giving fans a taste of what her vocals are capable of.
As Asa appeared, the tone of the song intensified and added another layer to the song.
Ruka was the final member to showcase her vocals. After starting the video with a monologue, she added her own colors, ensuring that even with a rap section, it felt right with the calmer and more ballad genre the song was meant to exude.
The final scenes saw all the members come together and their vocals blend together beautifully.
In particular, in the comments of the live premiere, netizens noticed there weren’t any strong rap moments, even from the members who are known for being “rappers.” Many heard the song and watched the music video, comparing the beautiful ballad to something from a Disney music video.
